A question behind the work

Where does
a person decide?

AI changes how work moves.
Judgment still needs a place in the loop.

An interactive thinking tool. Not a live view of company systems.

01 · Start with the output

What is the AI actually suggesting?

Separate the proposed action from the evidence behind it. A confident answer is a starting point for review.

Ask: “What would I need to know before acting?”

02 · Look behind the answer

What context could change the answer?

Look for missing information, assumptions and consequences. The question is whether this suggestion fits the situation.

Ask: “What is missing, and who could be affected?”

03 · Make the checkpoint explicit

Who decides what happens next?

Name the person responsible, the decision they are making, and what needs to be checked before an action moves forward.

Ask: “What needs my judgment, and what can move ahead?”

Three questions to take back to your team.

My story

Five rebuilds.
One company.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of Living Security. I started the company with my husband Drew in 2017, out of the bonus room in our house.

We’ve built a company and raised three daughters along the way. I’ve rebuilt the same company five times. This one I’m writing down as it happens.
